The Composites Lounge organizes panels with trade fair exhibitors and experts. If you are motivated to contribute high-quality content from your company, you can apply to us. In our LinkedIn™ community of well-known experts, we put you on the pedestal with your contribution so that you come into contact with the right people who will advance you and your business.
We are not the thousandth group on the topic of composites, which is why there is no Composites Lounge Conference anymore, but rather we travel around the world and report like frenzied reporters on the innovations that end users should know about. We interview well-known representatives of the industry and moderate discussions so that the content comes alive for you

The motto of the Composites Lounge 2025 is: Creating sustainable value. The adjective “sustainable” refers to composite materials that are not only intended to be durable, but also environmentally friendly. You can find sustainable values in business.
Processes, products and investments create value, which is why it is also referred to as a value chain. Sustainable values also refer to our Composites Lounge network, because we as a community strive to make the composites business sustainable. For the coming years, the JEC Group will be our partner in organizing the end user panels.

At Volocopter, he played a key role in advancing urban air mobility through eVTOL development. His expertise spans aerospace, automotive, and energy, focusing on integrating emerging technologies and fostering strategic partnerships.

Simon Bendrey is the Head of Design at Dufour Aerospace, where he leads the development of advanced aerial vehicles, including the Aero2 tilt-wing aircraft. With over 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry, his extensive background encompasses the design, development, and certification of various aircraft, with a particular focus on advanced aerospace technologies and composite materials. At Dufour Aerospace, Simon's expertise in composites is instrumental in creating lightweight, efficient, and innovative aircraft designs.

Víctor Jiménez is a seasoned Aerospace professional with experience in both worlds the Maintenance and Manufacturing and specialized in composites applications. Currently Business Development Manager for Composites at Biesterfeld, he works closely with leading manufacturers such as Syensqo, Hexcel, Chemtrend, and Kraiburg to support customers across Europe. In addition to his role at Biesterfeld, he leads his own company, providing expertise in business development, market research and strategy planning.

Since October 2022, Dr. Nicholas Ecke is part of the NETZSCH Process Intelligence GmbH team around Dr. Alexander Chaloupka. The application engineer studied process and medical engineering at the Technical University of Munich and was a chief engineer at the Chair of Composite Materials at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. In 2021, he completed his doctorate in engineering with his dissertation, which was awarded the Oechsler Prize. The thesis dealt with methods and approaches for developing and designing tribological components made of plastics. As a sensXPERT, Dr. Nicholas Ecke takes care of the smooth integration of the intelligent sensor technology sensXPERT Digital Mold in the production processes of customers worldwide.

Steffen Kress is an aerospace and composites expert, currently Head of Business Development and Sales at Mubea Aviation. With prior roles at MT Aerospace, Cotesa, and Voith, he has extensive experience in developing and industrializing composite technologies for aerospace applications. Holding a Phd from the Technical University of Berlin, he has dedicated his career to advancing composite solutions in aircraft manufacturing.
